UMass Dartmouth student trustee Jacob Miller has an uncommon and abiding commitment to public service. Jacob’s efforts on campus and in the SouthCoast are numerous, but his impact was felt statewide when he played a leading role in fixing a legal flaw that forced some students to have choose between health insurance or staying in school. He is a recipient of the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship, a national award honoring leadership and commitment to public service.
